Born in Argentina to Polish parents, Rabbi Katz, comes to Beth Shalom with an outstanding worldwide background. Receiving his MA in Jerusalem where he was twice ordained, he later traveled to Sweden where he became the Chief Orthodox Rabbi of Sweden. Rabbi Katz holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and Religion. He has taught in Germany and Spain, and speaks seven languages. Rabbi Katz is a natural storyteller and loves to share his global views. He makes us want to learn more about our Jewish selves and the value of Judaism to the world. Rabbi Katz presently teaches Introduction of Judaism in Spanish and Jewish Philosophy at Beth Shalom. He presides over three Shabbat services each month.
