Membership in Sisterhood at Beth Shalom of Whittier has always been a bit different from other synagogue Sisterhoods.  At Beth Shalom of Whittier all female members of the congregation are automatically Sisterhood members at no additional fee.  Another difference is that we invite the men of the congregation to attend our events. 
We are a close-knit group whose function is to support the synagogue through an annual monetary commitment and by offering social and educational programs.  Our specialty is organizing and presenting beautiful and delicious brunches to accompany the several lectures the synagogue offers throughout the year, along with weekly Oneg Shabbats on Friday evenings.  

The well-stocked gift shop is under our purview and is open five days a week.  Sisterhood meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 P.M.  All women are welcome.
